Hello!

I am currently Head of Design at Cobalt, where I am leading a global team of amazing product designers. As a leader, I aim to create exceptional environments for designers to grow in their careers and practice while helping push the business forward.

Hands-On

I jump into projects anytime we are down resources, and I am never afraid to roll up my sleeves. I get to know the product space inside and out, and I make it a priority to build relationships with all my colleagues. I partner with engineering, product, and marketing to build cross-team collaboration and strategize product evolutions.

You’ll never see me leaning over a designer’s shoulder telling them to move a button 10 pixels to the right. My goal is to empower my team to work autonomously with their colleagues and own their own product space end-to-end.

Supportive

I am an ever-present beacon of support for all of the designers on my team to come to anytime they want to bounce ideas around, strategize product direction, and talk through any issues they are having. It is also crucial for me to define a career development plan for all my team members so that they have a clear path for advancement. I look at myself more as a coach than a manager – rooting my teammates on and helping them navigate their careers.

Strategic

Coming into a new role, it is important for me to learn all about where we are today and where we want to be in the future. This helps me know how to build and support my team while also helping to move the company forward on our objectives. I set up regular 1:1s with my product and engineering peers and leaders across the company to work with them on our product strategy and execution and gain a shared understanding and alignment on goals.
